USA Patient or Consumer Distributor
The CoaguSense System is available for patient home testing through authorized Abbott Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) distributors. To start testing at home you will need to:
- Obtain a prescription from your physician. The CoaguSense System is available for patient self-testing at home by physician prescription only.
- Check with your insurance provider to see if you will be covered for your home PT/INR. The CoaguSense system is covered by Medicare and many insurance plans for qualified patients. An Abbott authorized IDTF can work with you on this step by contacting your insurance provider and handling all the paperwork for you. The cost of a CoaguSense system to a patient can vary depending upon a number of factors. We encourage you to discuss this with a distributor.
